TCR1020-CD8 is an autologous, engineered T cell therapy in which a patient’s own CD8+ T cells are genetically modified using a lentiviral vector to express a T cell receptor (TCR) that specifically recognizes the KRAS G12V mutation presented by HLA-A*11:01. The therapy is designed to target and kill cancer cells harboring this specific KRAS mutation. It is being developed for patients with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma or colorectal cancer who have the KRAS G12V mutation and are HLA-A*11:01 positive. The approach aims to redirect the immune system against tumor cells by providing highly specific, potent cytotoxic activity through engineered CD8+ effector cells[2][3][6].
