TCRfullvax is a synthetic DNA (synDNA) vaccine designed for the treatment of T-cell lymphomas. Developed by The Wistar Institute in collaboration with Geneos Therapeutics, it utilizes a synDNA platform to encode the three protein chains of the T-cell receptor (TCR) unique to the patient's cancerous T-cells. Because T-cell malignancies are clonal, every cancer cell expresses the same TCR, providing a specific target that is absent from healthy T-cells. In preclinical studies, TCRfullvax has shown the ability to induce robust immune responses, delay tumor growth, and improve survival. It is often evaluated as part of a dual-vaccine strategy alongside neoantigen vaccines (such as EL4neovax) to counteract tumor evasion mechanisms like TCR downregulation.
