Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TCX-001 is a non-viral chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by T-CURX for the treatment of hematologic malignancies, specifically acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The therapy utilizes a non-viral gene transfer method to engineer T cells to express a CAR targeting Siglec-6 (Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 6). Siglec-6 is highly expressed on AML blasts and leukemic stem cells but is notably absent from healthy hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, potentially allowing TCX-001 to serve as a standalone treatment rather than just a bridge to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In June 2026, TCX-001 received approval for a First-in-Human Phase 1 clinical trial for patients with relapsed or refractory AML and CLL.
