TCX-101

TCX-101 is a high-affinity monoclonal antibody developed by Tacalyx GmbH that targets a specific, undisclosed tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen (TACA). TACAs are carbohydrate structures that are highly expressed on the surface of various cancer cells but are generally absent in healthy differentiated tissues, making them ideal targets for selective cancer immunotherapy. TCX-101 has been explored in multiple therapeutic formats, including as a standalone monoclonal antibody, an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), and a bispecific T-cell engager (TcE). Preclinical studies have demonstrated encouraging in vivo efficacy against breast cancer and small cell lung cancer (SCLC), as well as potent in vitro T-cell activation and cancer cell killing. The drug originated from research at the Max-Planck-Institute of Colloids and Interfaces.
