TCX-104 is a preclinical-stage chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting G protein-coupled receptor class C group 5 member D (GPRC5D), developed by T-CURX for the treatment of multiple myeloma. The therapy is produced using T-CURX's proprietary non-viral Sleeping Beauty (SB) transposon system, a gene-transfer technology that allows for the stable integration of the CAR gene into T cells without the use of viral vectors. This non-viral approach is intended to simplify manufacturing, reduce costs, and potentially enhance the quality and safety of the resulting CAR-T cells. By targeting GPRC5D, which is highly and specifically expressed on malignant plasma cells, TCX-104 aims to provide a new therapeutic option for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, particularly those who have failed BCMA-targeted therapies.
