TCX-201

TCX-201 is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody and antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by Tacalyx GmbH. It targets a specific, undisclosed tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen (TACA) that is highly expressed on the surface of various cancer cells due to aberrant glycosylation pathways associated with malignancy. These carbohydrate structures are typically absent on healthy differentiated tissues, providing high tumor specificity. TCX-201 is being evaluated as an ADC utilizing payloads such as monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) and exatecan (XTC) to elicit anti-tumor activity across a broad range of solid tumors. The antibody is designed to show superior affinity and specificity to its target compared to previous generations of TACA-targeting agents.
