Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TD-214 is a small molecule prodrug developed by TrippBio, designed to optimize the delivery of PanCytoVir (probenecid) into the systemic circulation. Currently in preclinical development, TD-214 is being investigated for the treatment of respiratory viral infections, specifically Influenza and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). The drug functions by inhibiting organic anion transporters (OAT1 and OAT3), which are implicated in viral replication processes. Furthermore, TD-214 is designed to target ACE2, Pannexin 1 (PANX1), and the P2X7 receptor (P2X7R), mechanisms intended to block viral entry and modulate the host's inflammatory response to infection.
