TD-5202 is an oral, gut-selective, irreversible Janus kinase 3 (JAK3) inhibitor developed by Theravance Biopharma. It is designed to target inflammatory intestinal diseases by selectively inhibiting JAK3 in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby aiming to reduce systemic immunosuppression and associated side effects. The drug has been evaluated in phase I clinical trials for safety and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers and was generally well tolerated at single doses up to 2000 mg and as a twice-daily dose up to 2000 mg per day for ten days.
