It is a dual-action molecule that functions as both a Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor and a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) antagonist. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, with potential applications in other immune system and nervous system diseases. Its mechanism involves inhibiting BTK, which plays a key role in B-cell receptor signaling and immune cell activation, as well as antagonizing PPARγ, which modulates gene expression involved in inflammation and metabolism[1][8]. As of March 2025, its highest development status is IND application.
