Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TDENV-PIV is a tetravalent dengue virus purified inactivated vaccine developed to provide immunity against all four serotypes of the dengue virus. It is formulated with an alum adjuvant and administered via intramuscular injection. The vaccine contains formalin-inactivated whole viruses representing each of the four dengue serotypes, aiming to induce a broad neutralizing antibody response. TDENV-PIV has been evaluated both as a standalone immunization and as part of heterologous prime-boost regimens (e.g., followed by live attenuated vaccines) to enhance immunogenicity and durability of protection. Clinical studies have shown that it elicits robust tetravalent neutralizing antibody responses with acceptable safety profiles, supporting its further development for the prevention of dengue infection[4][5][6][7].
