TDI-846 is an anti-CD40L (aCD40L) monoclonal antibody developed as a potential treatment for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It targets CD40 ligand to block immune cell activation, aiming to protect nerves from ALS progression based on preclinical findings by ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) scientists, who patented biological molecules inhibiting CD40L signaling in 2008 and published evidence of its therapeutic potential in 2010.
