Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TDVAX is a Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids Adsorbed vaccine indicated for active immunization against tetanus and diphtheria in individuals aged 7 years and older. It is manufactured by MassBiologics. The vaccine consists of a combination of detoxified toxins (toxoids) from *Clostridium tetani* and *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*, adsorbed onto aluminum phosphate to enhance the immune response. In the context of Biomat USA, Inc., TDVAX is being evaluated for use in a donor hyper-immunization program, where it is administered at more frequent intervals (every 90 days) than the standard 10-year booster schedule to maintain high levels of anti-tetanus antibodies in plasma donors for the production of Tetanus Immune Globulin (TIG).
