Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TEA001 is an inhaled anti-infectious drug candidate being developed by Apteeus through its subsidiary APTEEA Therapeutics. It is a reformulation of an existing, approved active pharmaceutical ingredient with antimicrobial properties, specifically designed for delivery via a latest-generation inhalation device. The development program targets common pulmonary pathologies and respiratory infections with significant unmet medical needs, particularly in elderly patients or those with respiratory insufficiency. Currently in preclinical development, TEA001 aims to provide a more effective and targeted treatment for lung infections by delivering the drug directly to the site of infection.
