Tecemotide + hormonal treatment is an investigational combination therapy consisting of tecemotide (L-BLP25), a synthetic lipopeptide cancer vaccine targeting the tumor-associated antigen mucin-1 (MUC1), administered alongside standard hormonal (endocrine) therapies. Tecemotide is designed to stimulate a T-cell mediated immune response against MUC1-expressing tumor cells. The combination has been studied primarily in hormone-sensitive cancers such as breast and prostate cancer, aiming to enhance anti-tumor efficacy by combining immunotherapy with endocrine blockade. Tecemotide was developed by Merck KGaA/EMD Serono and has been evaluated in multiple phase II and III trials for various solid tumors including non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer[1][2][3][6][7].
