SY101 is a prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeting small-molecule radioligand labeled with Technetium-99m ([99mTc]), developed by Shanghai Shiya Pharmaceutical Technology in collaboration with MITRO Biotech. It is designed as a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical for the detection and imaging of PSMA-positive prostate cancer. By binding specifically to the extracellular domain of PSMA, which is highly overexpressed in prostate cancer cells, the drug allows for high-contrast Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) imaging. This enables clinicians to evaluate disease extent, select patients for PSMA-targeted therapies, and monitor treatment response. The compound is currently undergoing clinical evaluation to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, biodistribution, and radiation dosimetry.
