Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Technetium tc 99m tilmanocept** is a technetium-99m-labeled, CD206-targeted radiopharmaceutical diagnostic agent used for lymphatic mapping and sentinel lymph-node localization. The agent consists of tilmanocept, a mannose-bearing dextran-based macromolecule with DTPA chelators for technetium-99m labeling; it binds mannose receptor C-type 1 on macrophages and dendritic cells within lymphatic tissue, enabling gamma-counter and optional scintigraphic detection of tumor-draining lymph nodes. Marketed as **Lymphoseek**, it is FDA-approved for intraoperative lymphatic mapping in eligible patients with solid tumors, including clinically node-negative oral-cavity squamous cell carcinoma, breast cancer, and melanoma. Navidea Biopharmaceuticals developed the product; Cardinal Health is the current U.S. label packager and commercial rights holder.
