teclistamab

Teclistamab is a humanized bispecific monoclonal antibody used for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma in adults who have received at least four prior lines of therapy. It works by simultaneously binding to B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) on malignant plasma cells and the CD3 receptor on T cells, thereby redirecting T cells to kill BCMA-expressing myeloma cells through T cell-mediated cytotoxicity. This mechanism leads to targeted lysis of cancerous plasma cells via perforin and granzymes released from activated cytotoxic T lymphocytes. Teclistamab is administered as a subcutaneous injection and was developed as a first-in-class bispecific antibody for this indication[2][3][5][8].
