Overview
Teclozan is a small molecule antiprotozoal agent of the dichloroacetamide and benzylamine derivative class, primarily indicated for the treatment of intestinal protozoal infections such as amebiasis. Its mechanism of action involves interfering with phospholipid metabolism in protozoa, thereby preventing the formation of arachidonic acid, which is essential for parasite survival.
