Tecnofer

Tecnofer is an oral iron food supplement developed by Laboratori Baldacci, primarily indicated for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia. It is formulated with Feralgina (Feralgine), a patented, co-processed compound containing chelated ferrous bisglycinate and sodium alginate in a 1:1 ratio. The chelated structure of ferrous bisglycinate protects the iron from interacting with dietary inhibitors in the gastrointestinal tract, enhancing its bioavailability and absorption. Sodium alginate co-processing further improves the distribution of iron along the gastrointestinal mucosa, accelerating absorption and significantly reducing common gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, constipation, and abdominal pain.
