Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TECTOR is a dental medical device developed by lege artis Pharma, specifically designed for use in prosthetic dentistry and dental restoration. It is a calcium hydroxide-based suspension that serves as a pulp protector (ProTECTOR). The product is applied topically to vital teeth after preparation and in shallow cavities to seal open dentinal tubules and protect the dental pulp from grinding trauma. TECTOR works by neutralizing residual acids from luting cements and inducing the formation of tertiary dentine. It is typically applied as a thin layer with a brush before the conventional cementation of crowns and bridges to ensure long-term pulp vitality and reduce post-operative sensitivity.
