Overview

TEE002 is a repurposed and reformulated small molecule drug candidate being developed by Apteeus for the treatment of recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB). Developed in collaboration with Dr. Nyström's laboratory, the drug is designed to reduce skin fibrosis, which is a major complication and driver of disease progression in RDEB. RDEB is a rare and severe genetic skin disorder characterized by chronic blistering and extensive scarring due to mutations in the COL7A1 gene. TEE002 aims to address the significant unmet medical need for effective antifibrotic therapies in this patient population. The project is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
