Tegileridine + propofol is an intravenous anesthetic combination consisting of tegileridine, a novel μ-opioid receptor (MOR) agonist, and propofol, a sedative-hypnotic agent. Tegileridine (SHR8554) is a biased ligand designed to provide potent analgesia while potentially minimizing opioid-related adverse effects such as respiratory depression and gastrointestinal dysfunction by selectively activating the G-protein signaling pathway over the β-arrestin-2 pathway. Propofol functions as a positive allosteric modulator of the GABA_A receptor, inducing rapid sedation and hypnosis. This combination is primarily investigated for the induction of general anesthesia, specifically to inhibit airway responses during laryngeal mask airway (LMA) insertion and to maintain hemodynamic stability in both young and elderly patients.
