Overview

Telazorlimab is a humanized monoclonal IgG1 antibody that acts as an antagonist of the OX40 receptor, a co-stimulatory molecule expressed on activated T cells. By binding to and inhibiting OX40, telazorlimab blocks T-cell activation and proliferation, thereby reducing the inflammatory cascade characteristic of T-cell–mediated diseases such as atopic dermatitis. It also decreases production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and impacts both acute and chronic phases of inflammation by modulating Th1, Th2, Th17, and Th22 pathways. Telazorlimab has been investigated in phase 2 clinical trials for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis with promising efficacy and safety results. The drug was originally developed by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals S.A., later advanced by Ichnos Sciences, and is now licensed to Astria Therapeutics for further development[1][3][4][5][6].
