Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Telostop Plus is an oral fixed-dose combination tablet containing the small-molecule agents telmisartan, amlodipine, and rosuvastatin, developed by Ildong Pharmaceutical for the concurrent treatment of hypertension and hyperlipidemia.[2][4][7][11] Telmisartan is an angiotensin II type 1 receptor blocker that reduces vasoconstriction and aldosterone-mediated volume expansion, lowering blood pressure and cardiovascular risk.[1][3][7] Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel antagonist that inhibits L-type calcium influx in vascular smooth muscle, producing vasodilation and additional blood pressure reduction.[7] Rosuvastatin is an HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor that decreases hepatic cholesterol synthesis, upregulates LDL receptors, and lowers LDL cholesterol and other atherogenic lipids, thereby improving dyslipidemia and cardiovascular risk profiles.[7] Telostop Plus is marketed in South Korea in multiple telmisartan/amlodipine/rosuvastatin dose strengths for patients with coexisting hypertension and dyslipidemia, and has been studied in post-marketing surveillance for safety and efficacy in these indications.[2][4][7][10][11][14]
