Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tendoncel is a novel, patented, regenerative allogeneic topical gel developed for the treatment of severe tendon injuries, particularly chronic grade 3 and 4 lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and rotator cuff injuries. The product incorporates a unique combination of platelet-derived growth factors—including PDGF-BB, VEGF, PDGF-AA, thrombospondin, and angiopoietin—embedded in a cellulose-derived gel matrix that controls the release of these factors to optimize their bioavailability and dosing. These growth factors are intended to facilitate healing by stimulating fibroblast proliferation and supporting tissue repair. Tendoncel is administered topically once daily for 21 days. Clinical trials have demonstrated statistically significant improvements in functional outcomes with no serious adverse events reported[1][2][3][4][5].
