Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TendoStem is a regenerative cell therapy developed by Creative Medical Technology Holdings, specifically designed to treat chronic tendon injuries and tears, such as rotator cuff injuries. The product utilizes the company's proprietary AmnioStem technology, which involves the isolation and expansion of multipotent stem cells derived from amniotic fluid. These cells are characterized by their high proliferative capacity and ability to differentiate into tenocytes, the primary cells found in tendons. Upon local injection into the damaged tendon, TendoStem works through paracrine signaling, releasing a cocktail of growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines that reduce localized inflammation, stimulate the recruitment of endogenous repair cells, and promote the synthesis of organized collagen fibers. This approach aims to restore the structural integrity and mechanical function of the tendon, providing a potential alternative to surgical repair or corticosteroid injections.
