Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TengFuJiangYa is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of Grade 1 hypertension, specifically targeting the 'Liver Yang Syndrome' (a TCM diagnostic pattern characterized by symptoms such as dizziness, headache, and irritability). The drug is administered orally in tablet form. Clinical research, including a multicenter randomized controlled trial (ChiCTR-IIR-17011940), has been conducted to evaluate its efficacy in reducing blood pressure and its safety profile. Like many TCM products, it is a multi-component mixture whose therapeutic effects are attributed to the synergistic action of various botanical constituents on the cardiovascular and nervous systems.
