Tenghuangjiangu tablets

Tenghuangjiangu tablets (藤黄健骨片) is a proprietary Chinese herbal medicine developed and manufactured by Hunan Fangsheng Pharmaceutical. It is formulated with seven traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, including Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata (熟地黄), Pyrola calliantha (鹿衔草), Drynaria fortunei (骨碎补), Cistanche deserticola (肉苁蓉), Epimedium brevicornu (淫羊藿), Spatholobus suberectus (鸡血藤), and Raphanus sativus (莱菔子). The formulation is primarily indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis (particularly knee osteoarthritis), hypertrophic spondylitis, cervical spondylosis, calcaneal spur, proliferative arthritis, and Kashin-Beck disease. It acts by nourishing the kidneys, promoting blood circulation, and relieving pain. Clinical and preclinical studies suggest that Tenghuangjiangu tablets can slow the progression of osteoarthritis by inhibiting catabolic factors, reducing subchondral bone sclerosis, and suppressing inflammatory pathways such as TNF-alpha/IL-6/JAK2/STAT3.
