Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Teosyal RHA Redensity is a **dermal filler** consisting of a viscoelastic, sterile, non-pyrogenic, clear, colorless, homogeneous, and biodegradable gel implant composed of both crosslinked and non-crosslinked **hyaluronic acid**. It is produced via bacterial fermentation (streptococcus equi strain) and crosslinked with 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDDE). The formulation contains 15 mg/mL sodium hyaluronic acid and 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride in a physiologic buffer (pH 7.3)[8][5]. Its main mechanism of action is **tissue augmentation** by injecting into the dermis for the correction of moderate to severe dynamic perioral rhytids (wrinkles and folds, especially around the mouth)[2][8]. Teosyal RHA Redensity is designed with both crosslinked (for structure and resilience) and non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid (for hydration and repair)[4][8]. It also includes a blend of amino acids, antioxidants, minerals, and Vitamin B6 to support skin cell renewal and health[4]. The addition of lidocaine ensures comfort during injection. Developed by Teoxane, it is primarily indicated for facial rejuvenation, especially perioral rhytids. The product is administered via intradermal injection, often using blanching serial puncture, linear threading, or cross-hatching techniques[5].
