TERAH-7 is a therapeutic vaccine based on a recombinant protein developed by the Brazilian startup ImunoTera. It is designed to treat diseases caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), including cervical cancer, oropharyngeal cancer, anal cancer, and carcinoma in situ. The vaccine is built on the 'Act-Tera' technology platform, which is engineered to activate the immune system, specifically generating T cells that target and eliminate HPV-infected cells. Preclinical data suggests that TERAH-7 can induce tumor regression, prevent metastasis and recurrence, and work synergistically with standard chemotherapy treatments. Early patient studies have also indicated the potential for lesion regression in cervical neoplasms.
