Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Teratect is a quadrivalent seasonal influenza vaccine developed by Il-Yang Pharm. Co., Ltd. It is an egg-based, inactivated split-virion vaccine designed to provide active immunization against four strains of the influenza virus: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). The vaccine is administered via intramuscular injection and is produced using traditional egg-based manufacturing processes. Clinical trials have evaluated its safety and immunogenicity across various age groups, including infants as young as 6 months, children, adolescents, and adults, demonstrating a profile comparable to other established quadrivalent influenza vaccines.
