Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Terizleotide is a synthetic peptide immunomodulator developed by Yi Qiao (Hunan) Pharmaceutical. It is currently in Phase 3 clinical development in China as an adjuvant therapy for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) following curative resection. The drug is designed to enhance the host's immune response against residual tumor cells, thereby reducing the risk of recurrence and improving overall survival. Its mechanism of action involves the stimulation, maturation, and activation of T-lymphocytes and the modulation of cytokine production, similar to other thymic peptides like thymosin alpha 1. Terizleotide is administered as an injection and is being evaluated for its efficacy in improving recurrence-free survival and quality of life in the postoperative setting.
