Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Terpene-enriched medical cannabis oil is a standardized, patented botanical formulation developed by Bazelet Group in collaboration with Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center. It consists of medical cannabis oil (containing cannabinoids such as THC and CBD) enriched with a precise, optimized profile of specific cannabis-derived terpenes (such as myrcene, pinene, limonene, and beta-caryophyllene) to restore the volatile terpenes lost during standard extraction processes. This formulation leverages the 'entourage effect'—the synergistic interaction between cannabinoids and terpenes—to enhance therapeutic efficacy. It is primarily being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials for the management of chronic pain, acute radicular pain, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), aiming to improve pain relief and reduce opioid dependence.
