Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Terpenicol** is a Blaine Labs topical antifungal product family rather than one chemically uniform drug. It includes 2% miconazole nitrate antifungal cream and solution products for athlete's foot and ringworm, as well as a 1% clotrimazole antimicrobial shoe spray intended for footwear hygiene and reduction of fungal reinfection risk. Both miconazole and clotrimazole are imidazole antifungals that inhibit fungal lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase, impairing ergosterol synthesis and fungal cell-membrane integrity. Because the Terpenicol name spans products with different active ingredients and dosage forms, it should not be treated as a single chemical entity.
