Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Terraflora is a soil-based synbiotic dietary supplement designed to support gastrointestinal health and microbial diversity. Developed by Enviromedica, it combines a blend of spore-forming probiotics, known as soil-based organisms (SBOs), with a prebiotic bio-complex derived from ancient food sources. The probiotic component consists of resilient *Bacillus* strains, such as *B. subtilis* and *B. coagulans*, which are naturally protected by a spore coating that allows them to survive the acidic environment of the stomach and reach the lower GI tract intact. The prebiotic component includes larch arabinogalactan and medicinal mushroom extracts (Reishi and Chaga) to provide selective nourishment for beneficial gut bacteria. By introducing these hardy microbes and supporting their growth, Terraflora aims to improve digestion, enhance immune function, and restore a healthy microbial balance in the gut.
