Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Teslanbai** is an orally administered, nano-selenium-enriched *Lactobacillus rhamnosus* probiotic product derived from strain CICC 6137. It is being clinically evaluated for radiation proctitis, where pelvic radiotherapy-associated intestinal dysbiosis, oxidative stress, epithelial injury, inflammation, and impaired intestinal-barrier function contribute to disease. The product is intended to modulate the gut microbiota and reduce oxidative stress through selenium-associated antioxidant activity, thereby supporting mucosal-barrier repair and reducing intestinal inflammation. A Phase I/II study sponsored by The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College is evaluating oral Teslanbai in patients with radiation proctitis.
