Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of three drugs—testosterone undecanoate, sunitinib, and pazopanib. - **Testosterone undecanoate** is an esterified form of testosterone used primarily as hormone replacement therapy in male hypogonadism. It acts as an androgen receptor agonist, supplementing or replacing endogenous testosterone. - **Sunitinib** is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that targets multiple receptor tyrosine kinases including vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFRs), c-KIT, FLT3, and RET. It inhibits tumor angiogenesis and cell proliferation and is approved for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma and gastrointestinal stromal tumors[6][8]. - **Pazopanib** is another small molecule TKI targeting VEGFR-1/2/3, PDGFR-alpha/beta, c-KIT, FGFR1/3 among others. Like sunitinib, it blocks angiogenesis pathways critical for tumor growth; it is approved for advanced renal cell carcinoma and soft tissue sarcoma[6][8][10]. There are no known clinical studies or regulatory approvals for the use of this specific triple combination in any disease setting. Sunitinib and pazopanib have been studied together with immune checkpoint inhibitors but not with testosterone undecanoate[1][7]. The rationale for combining these three agents would be experimental.
