tetanus and diphtheria vaccine-Baylor College of Medicine-tetanus-diphtheria refers to a specific bivalent vaccine formulation utilized in clinical research conducted by Baylor College of Medicine. This vaccine is composed of 2 ug of tetanus toxoid (TT) and 2 ug of diphtheria toxoid (DT), adsorbed onto 3000 ug of an aluminum hydroxide (alum) adjuvant. It is primarily employed in Phase 1 pilot studies (such as NCT01843608) to investigate the safety and immunogenicity of novel vaccine adjuvants, specifically the TLR5 agonist entolimod (CBLB502). The vaccine aims to induce protective immunity against *Clostridium tetani* and *Corynebacterium diphtheriae* by stimulating the production of neutralizing antibodies against their respective toxins. The Baylor College of Medicine studies specifically evaluate whether the addition of entolimod can significantly augment the antibody response compared to the standard alum-adsorbed Td vaccine formulation.
