Overview

Tdap + MenACWY-CRM refers to the concomitant administration of a booster vaccine for tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) and a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY-CRM). Tdap vaccines, such as **Boostrix** or **Adacel**, contain tetanus and diphtheria toxoids along with acellular pertussis antigens to provide active immunity against *Clostridium tetani*, *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*, and *Bordetella pertussis*. MenACWY-CRM, marketed as **Menveo**, consists of four meningococcal capsular oligosaccharides (serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135) individually conjugated to a non-toxic mutant of diphtheria toxin known as **CRM197**, which acts as a carrier protein to enhance the T-cell dependent immune response. This combination is typically administered to adolescents and young adults (ages 11-25) to provide broad protection against bacterial meningitis and respiratory infections. Clinical studies have demonstrated that co-administration does not compromise the immunogenicity or safety profile of either vaccine component.
