Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Clodivac is a bivalent booster vaccine developed by IBSS Biomed S.A. for active immunization against tetanus and diphtheria in adults. It consists of purified tetanus toxoid and a reduced dose of purified diphtheria toxoid, both adsorbed onto aluminum hydroxide to enhance immunogenicity. The vaccine works by stimulating the production of specific antitoxins that neutralize the toxins produced by *Clostridium tetani* and *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*. It is typically administered as a booster dose to maintain long-term immunity in individuals previously vaccinated with a primary series. Clinical trials have evaluated its safety and immunogenicity compared to other established Td vaccines.
