Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The tetanus vaccine-Hospices Civils de Lyon-tetanus-diphtheria-pneumococcal infection-Haemophilus influenzae type B infection-hepatitis B-influenza refers to a comprehensive revaccination protocol evaluated in the VaccHemInf clinical trial (NCT04844632) sponsored by Hospices Civils de Lyon. This regimen is designed for adult hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) recipients who experience profound immune suppression and loss of protective immunity post-transplantation. The protocol includes a 'complete block' of vaccinations against tetanus, diphtheria, pneumococcal infection, Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib), and hepatitis B, followed by seasonal influenza vaccination. The primary objective of the study is to assess the efficacy and safety of these recommended vaccines by measuring antibody titers and immune functional assays in this vulnerable population.
