Overview

Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid and the acidic precursor to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), found abundantly in raw and live cannabis plants. It converts to THC through a process called decarboxylation, typically induced by heat. THCA is being investigated for potential therapeutic properties, including anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and antiemetic effects, without producing the intoxicating effects associated with THC.
