Tetralite is a quadrivalent influenza vaccine candidate developed by LiteVax B.V. that incorporates the company's proprietary LiteVax adjuvant. The vaccine is formulated with hemagglutinin (HA) antigens from four seasonal influenza strains: two Influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two Influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). The LiteVax adjuvant is a synthetic carbohydrate-based molecule, specifically a sucrose fatty acid sulfate ester, designed to enhance the immunogenicity of the viral antigens. By stimulating both Th1 and Th2 immune pathways, the adjuvant promotes robust humoral and cellular responses, potentially allowing for dose-sparing of the viral components while maintaining high efficacy. Tetralite is intended to provide broad protection against seasonal influenza and has been evaluated in early-phase clinical trials to assess its safety and immunogenicity profile.
