Tetric N-Bond Universal

Tetric N-Bond Universal is a single-component, light-curing universal adhesive used in restorative dentistry for both direct and indirect bonding procedures. Developed and manufactured by Ivoclar Vivadent, it is designed to be compatible with all etching techniques, including self-etch, selective-enamel-etch, and total-etch (etch-and-rinse). The formulation contains functional monomers such as 10-MDP (10-methacryloyloxydecyl dihydrogen phosphate), which promotes chemical bonding to tooth structure (hydroxyapatite) and various restorative materials. It also includes methacrylate monomers, ethanol, water, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, initiators, and stabilizers. In the context of the clinical trial conducted by Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, the adhesive is being evaluated specifically in self-etch mode to compare postoperative sensitivity in Class I and II posterior restorations against other restorative materials like GC Fuji IX and Activa Bioactive Restorative.
