Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Tezepelumab + topical corticosteroids** is a therapeutic regimen for severe asthma consisting of tezepelumab, a human monoclonal antibody, and inhaled (topical) corticosteroids. **Tezepelumab** targets and inhibits thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), disrupting a key upstream cytokine in airway inflammation and thereby reducing asthma exacerbations across phenotypes. Topical (inhaled) corticosteroids act locally in the airways to suppress inflammation by modulating multiple immune pathways, reducing the frequency and severity of asthma attacks when used daily. This combination is intended for maintenance therapy in adolescents and adults with severe asthma uncontrolled by corticosteroids alone[1][3][5][7].
