TFC-1326 is a synthetic anti-freeze glycoprotein (AFGP)-based compound developed as a topical agent for the treatment and prevention of skin aging. It acts by mimicking natural antifreeze glycoproteins, which are known to protect biological tissues from environmental stress. In preclinical and clinical studies, TFC-1326 has demonstrated the ability to restore adipogenic capacity in preadipocytes exposed to proinflammatory conditions, reduce fibroinflammatory states, stimulate dermal fibroblast proliferation and production of hyaluronic acid and procollagen type I, decrease IL-6 secretion, increase fibroblast viability, and enhance extracellular matrix remodeling. Clinically, application of a 1% TFC-1326 cream led to significant improvements in skin density (collagen/elastin), radiance, firmness/laxity reduction, hydration/texture improvement, wrinkle depth/volume reduction (notably crow’s feet), decreased inflammation (IL-8) and oxidation (H2O2), with excellent tolerability even on sensitive skin. The compound outperformed traditional retinoid-based anti-aging products in both efficacy and user tolerance[1][4][5][7][10].
