Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TFEB gene therapy is a regenerative medicine intervention offered by Integrated Healthcare Systems designed to address age-related proteostasis decline and various neurodegenerative or metabolic conditions. The therapy utilizes gene delivery to upregulate the expression or activity of Transcription Factor EB (TFEB), a master regulator of lysosomal biogenesis and the autophagy pathway. By activating the Coordinated Lysosomal Expression and Regulation (CLEAR) network, the treatment aims to enhance the cell's ability to degrade misfolded proteins, damaged organelles, and lipid aggregates. This approach is intended to restore cellular homeostasis and counteract the pathological accumulation of toxic cellular waste associated with aging and chronic disease. It is currently offered as a concierge medical service rather than through traditional regulated clinical trial phases.
