TFG-001 is an investigational 3D neural microtissue cell therapy developed by TreeFrog Therapeutics for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Unlike conventional cell therapies that utilize single-cell suspensions, TFG-001 consists of a pre-organized 3D network of dopaminergic progenitors and neurons. This 3D microtissue structure is designed to enhance post-transplantation engraftment, integration, and host-circuit reinnervation. Preclinical data in translational models of Parkinson's disease have demonstrated rapid dopamine release within approximately 48 hours and extensive graft-derived reinnervation of the nigrostriatal pathway. The therapy is produced using TreeFrog's proprietary C-Stem technology, which allows for the high-throughput production of standardized 3D microtissues.
