TFX05-01

TFX05-01 is a novel, selective prodrug designed to target and inhibit the enzyme Aldo-Keto Reductase Family 1 Member C3 (AKR1C3, also known as 17β-HSD5). AKR1C3 plays a key role in steroid hormone metabolism and is implicated in the growth and drug resistance of various solid tumors. By inhibiting AKR1C3, TFX05-01 aims to suppress tumor cell proliferation and potentially restore chemosensitivity in resistant cancers. Preclinical studies have demonstrated significant efficacy of TFX05-01 in mouse models with AKR1C3-overexpressing tumors without marked toxicity. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, with ongoing clinical trials evaluating its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy[1][7].
