Overview

A combination therapy consisting of TG-2349, DAG181 (also known as yimitasvir), and ribavirin is being developed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 infection. TG-2349 is a small molecule NS3/NS4A protease inhibitor targeting the hepatitis C virus serine protease, thereby inhibiting viral replication[5]. DAG181 (yimitasvir) is an oral small molecule antiviral agent with an as-yet-undisclosed mechanism of action, also under investigation for HCV[7][8]. Ribavirin is a well-established nucleoside analog antiviral used in combination regimens for HCV. This triple regimen has been evaluated in phase III clinical trials in both non-cirrhotic and cirrhotic patients with chronic HCV genotype 1 infection[1][3][7]. The primary developer and sponsor for this combination therapy is Dongguan HEC TaiGen Biopharmaceuticals.
